Sean Heiney has 18 years of startup experience as a serial entrepreneur. Currently, he is the Founder and COO at Signal Wire, the world’s largest telecom platform. Sean drives strategy and business around SignalWire and the FreeSWITCH open-source project. SignalWire’s technology forms the backbone of modern communications applications like Amazon, Netflix, and Zoom. He is a product marketing and management start-up executive with extensive expertise in SaaS, network security, communication, and VOIP. In his past, Sean led, developed, launched, and marketed new products at Barracuda Networks to over $300M in revenue and IPO. In the early 2000s, Sean formed and built Periscan, a pioneer SaaS managed security software company specializing in VISA/Mastercard PCI Compliance, which got acquired by Catbird Networks in 2006.
