Brian Weisfeld – Founder and Chief Squad Officer at The Startup Squad
Every kid should not grow up to be an entrepreneur. Rather, we
want every kid to develop that entrepreneurial mindset.
Brian Weisfeld, Founder of The Startup Squad, helped build some world-class brands as a former Chief Operating Officer, including companies like IMAX, Westcon Group and Coupons.com, and in the process created hundreds of jobs. But it was spending time with his two daughters that inspired Brian’s latest efforts, including the birth of The Startup Squad; a multi-platform initiative dedicated to empowering girls to realize their potential and follow their dreams by inspiring them to open their first businesses to begin to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. Brian also did a TEDx where he shared his journey to create The Startup Squad and all the twists and turns along the way. Brian has also authored a middle-grade book series, The Startup Squad, which features tips for kids starting or running their first businesses, plus a profile of a real-life tween girl CEO.
