Mike Volpe

Mike is a veteran of the marketing world, with his specialty lying in the inbound facet of the art. He started out as Director of Marketing Operations at SolidWorks, where his efforts were directed primarily towards SEO, PPC, podcasting, and blogging. From there, he upgraded to CMO of Hubspot, a marketing software company, where he similarly heads up many inbound marketing initiatives. During his time with the company, the company has grown from only a dozen beta customers to over 5,000 customers and from 5 employees to 300. He also raised an impressive $65 million in only 3 waves of venture capital.

Mike has been featured in such publications as The New York Times, The Financial Times and was voted “The Top Marketer to Watch in 2012” by Focus. Mark has been quoted extensively by other major publications like CNN Money and Fortune magazine.

Our second Michael is Michael Dubin, CEO and Founder of DollarShaveClub.com. Funny guy, serious entrepreneur. Graduating from Emory University in Georgia, he’s a smart guy who has proven his worth in many capacities. Through his tenure with companies such as Time Magazine and Sports Illustrated, he has built a career for himself as a master of marketing at all levels.

He used that marketing expertise to fuel the launch of his own company’s brand presence in 2012 with possibly one of the funniest commercials in existence. The video went viral (like 10-million-views viral) on Youtube a little over a year ago . If you haven’t seen it, you might want to check it out. The company has been enjoying the benefits ever since, and he’s hiring!
