Ivan is Program Director at Venture Hive, a Miami startup accelerator that focuses on technology startups in three verticals, travel/hospitality, healthcare, and creatives (art, design, fashion, music, film, etc). For each class, they select ten companies who each get a $25,000 grant (and they take no equity!), a year of free office space, and mentoring and support. What a deal! Startups must commit to spending the first twelve weeks in the accelerator space in Downtown Miami. The Venture Hive is in partnership between Miami’s Downtown Development Authority (DDA), the University of Miami, and the Office of the Mayor of Miami-Dade.

We continue to find great resources for crowdfunding! Leigh Lepore is the Founder of Crowdfunding Strategy & Information and advises small businesses, non-profits, and individuals on utilizing crowdfunding. We discuss the four types of crowd funding (Equity, Debt, Rewards, & Donation) and how it can help organizations take their ideas to market. She has successfully raised $40K for her personal campaigns and help others on campaigns to raise up to $250K. Very Impressive!
