Carbonite Founder David Friend has co-founded six technology companies since getting out of college in 1969. After the first five were acquired, he led his current company — cloud backup leader Carbonite — to a successful IPO in August 2011, a challenging week that saw nine other companies postpone their plans to go public.
During this interview, David shared key learnings from his career as an entrepreneur and angel investor, from how to solicit funding, to the factors to consider when presented with an acquisition offer, to the challenges of taking a company public.
