Peggy Smedley – Author of Sustainable In A Circular World

We are a Make, Use, Waste society, because our first instinct is,
‘we want the latest and greatest.’  The problem is that when we
are done, we throw it out.

Peggy Smedley, president, editorial director, and host of The Peggy Smedley Show, has authored a new book, Sustainable in a Circular World, design and restore natural ecosystems through innovation. Sustainability intentionally maximizes the environmental, social, financial, and digital actions to fully engage its potential around a long-term motivational direction. These three components (environmental, social, and financial) come together to build up the digital age and lead to transformation, creating real change in society. This movement needs to be invigorated by the next generation of innovators who are committed to circularity and sustainability. “My passion is inspiring the next group of skilled innovators as well as restoring our ecosystem through the use of advanced technology,” says Smedley. “My hope is this book will help to spur each generation to come together to create a more sustainable future together.” Peggy is an award-winning journalist and tech expert who during her 25-year career has extensively covered the IoT (Internet of Things), manufacturing, construction technology, and most recently she can be found leading the discussion on sustainability, circularity, and resiliency. Each month Smedley educates via Connected World, Constructech, and The Peggy Smedley Show. She also has collaborated on eight published books, in addition to authoring her own book, Mending Manufacturing.
