Rick Terrien – Author of Ageless Startup: Start a Business at Any Age
There is a significant misunderstanding of what entrepreneurship
really is. We are drawn to the 20 year old billionaires on the covers
of magazines. That’s just not the reality.
Rick Terrien is a lifelong entrepenueur with decades long success record in for-profit business startups, non-profit, and economic development organizations. He learned the lesson of entrepreneurship very early while selling newspapers car-to-car at stoplights. He was awarded the United States Small Business New Product of the Year by the National Society of Professional Engineers and has been recognized by Fast Company Magazine as one of their Fast 50, now called the World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies. Terrien was also recognized as a Purpose Prize Fellow in 2015 for Innovation Kitchens, a yearly award by AARP for post-retirement individuals who make a difference in industry and innovation by creating new solutions for today’s world. Rick is currently helping launch and lead one of the most innovative regional food organizations in the world, including Food21 and Artisan Food Networks. Rick is also the author of his first book, Ageless Startup: Start a Business at Any Age, written as a field guide to the rocky terrain of entrepreneurship.
