Cecelia Ahern – Author of Flawed: A Novel

Cecelia Ahern is the author of the international bestsellers P.S. I Love You; Love, Rosie; If You Could See Me Now; There’s No Place Like Here; and The Gift. The daughter of Ireland’s former prime minister, she lives in Dublin. Cecelia is not your typical novelist. She grew up meeting folks like President George W. Bush in the Oval Office because her dad, a dairy farmer, also happened to be the Prime Minister of Ireland. Her high school band, Shimma, scored a recording contract. She wrote the bestseller P.S., I Love You fresh out of college and began traveling the world. Both it and Love, Rosie became hit movies. Her latest book, Flawed, was in pre-production with Warner Brothers before the book was published. It has been a dizzying ride that has in no way affected her personable manner and marvelous sense of humor. Public shaming is the theme of Flawed, her first young adult novel. It takes place in a dystopian future where those who are accused of wrongdoing – or wrong thinking – are literally branded, then shunned. Celestine, the protagonist, is perfect in every way. She is bright, pretty, popular and accomplished. Her family is powerful and well-connected. She’s dating the most popular boy in school who also happens to be the son of the country’s most powerful man.
