Margaret Martin’s company Merlin is the leader in enterprise Augmented Reality. Know the yellow first down line on NFL football? Her company does amazing stuff like that. Margaret is a finalist of the Metro Atlanta Chamber Business Person of the Year and Merlin won the National Association of Telecom Professional’s Technology Service Provider’s Innovation Award for 2013. Other amazing recognition includes winning the Technology Association of Georgia’s 2013 Top Ten Innovative Technology Companies Award, winning the People’s Choice Award for the Coolest Technology at the 2013 Georgia Technology Summit, and winning the Harvard Business School New Venture Competition for the Southeast. Sheryl Checkman was on the show a couple weeks ago to talk about graphic design and tips for entrepreneurs. She also runs an online retail store called Life is Balance and an Etsy shop that sells the cool t-shirts, digital fine art, jewelry and gifts that she designs. She is diversifying her income streams and risk, a step we love here at SFS Radio. She is with us today to share her experiences building her online retail business.
