Tom Stoner is an investor, author and a thought leader in the clean energy industry. He led two companies through venture funding to successful exits, by selling one to a publicly traded utility holding company and the second through a successful IPO. Tom was formerly CEO of Evergreen Energy (NYSE Arca: EEE) and CEO of Econergy International (London AIM: ECONF) until July 2008. He was also Senior Manager of the CleanTech Fund from 2005 to 2008, one of the first clean tech funds. Amazingly, Tom has raised more than $300 million in venture capital in his career. His projects have ranged from building ice-storage facilities in Texas to owning and operating large utility scale wind energy projects in Brazil. Lisa Burginger – Co-Founder of Qubits Toys
Lisa Burginger, along with her husband Mark, created Qubits Toys. Qubits is a cool toy that is easy to assemble, snap together and teaches about modular design and geometric shapes. It teaches that geometry can be fun, artistic, colorful and challenging. Older age groups use the toy in middle school projects involving STEM activities and ROBOTICS. The product was also on Season One of Shark Tank, but they did not get a deal. Still sales exploded and we cover this fun and their post-Shark Tank plans.
