May McCarthy has founded and grown successful companies in a variety of industries, and she has worked for Fortune 500 companies like Johnson & Johnson and Boeing. Her companies include Scarlet Ribbon (a fashion show retailer with 60 weekly shows in the Northwest and franchises), LDNS (the first reseller of telecommunications services to over 2,500 hospitals nationwide), Kallback (a family owned international telecom company with over 100K customers worldwide), Integrated Healthcare Systems (a pharmacy automation company), and PhACTs (an enterprise wide Pharmacy Inventory Management Solution for Health Systems). She is now running Bizzultz, a planning and design firm that works to accelerate business results for companies. May is an Angel investor and member of ZINO Society, Puget Sound Venture Club, and the Alliance of Angels. She advises start-up companies through a variety of organizations including Seattle University, the Washington Technology Industry Association, and the Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical Association, and is involved in philanthropic and educational service organizations. May is the Board Chairperson for Seattle University’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center, Judge and Mentor for the Business Plan Competition at Seattle University, Board of Trustee member for ACT Theater, Member of Board of Governors for Columbia Tower Club, Past Board member of the Better Business Bureau of Washington and Oregon, and Charter member of Rush Hour Rotary in Seattle. May is a guest University lecturer and professional member of the National Speakers Association sharing successful business development strategies. Her new book, “The Path to Wealth: Seven Spiritual Steps for Financial Abundance,” teaches others how to partner with their source of intuition and rely on the messages they receive to achieve more of their goals, dreams, and desires.
Prachi Baxi is Co-Founder of SmartyPans, a modern day cooking system that consists of a smart cooking pan and a mobile app. The pan measures the weight and temperature as you cook and their app uses this information to compute calories and nutrition in real time. Its a great resource for anyone trying to lose weight or control their diet. She was a School Nutrition Regulatory and Compliance Expert at Whitsons Culinary Group, a Nutrition and Fitness Writer with Fit Day, and a Nutrition Counselor at PTI.
