Thibaud Clément – Co-founder of Loomly
Everyday we speak with 100’s of customers and they tell us
what they want. We listen and put it in Loomly!
Thibaud Clément is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Loomly. Since graduating from both Grenoble Ecole de Management, France and the University of Ottawa, Canada in 2011, Thibaud has worked with his wife and business partner, Noemie, launching four successful businesses. A self-taught programmer, Thibaud began building software to make Noemie’s job easier in 2015. Back then, the pair was managing a marketing agency and struggling with the process of creating and sharing editorial calendars with their clients through spreadsheets. Encouraged by early feedback from their own customers and peers about their prototype, Thibaud and Noemie decided to make it available to other marketing teams: Loomly was born. He is devising the overall company strategy and vision, Thibaud actively leads all fundraising and product development efforts.
Dr. Corey Phelps – Associate Dean, Professor, Author of Cracked it!: How to solve big problems and sell solutions like top strategy consultants
Solving problems is at the core of what entrepreneurs do, because
it is at the core of developing a solution that creates value.
Dr. Corey Phelps is a Professor of Strategy and Associate Dean of Executive Education at McGill University. For over 20 years, he’s conducted award-winning research on corporate growth and traveled the world as a keynote speaker, corporate trainer, and consultant, helping organizations become more innovative and strategically agile. In his new book, Cracked It! How to Solve Big Problems and Sell Solutions like Top Strategy Consultants, he reveals the sought-after, rarely revealed approach that consultancy giants—including McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, and Bain—use to decipher issues and generate success. Drawing from decades of rigorous academic research, case studies, and consulting experience with the book’s co-authors, Corey guides readers through: Why our brains excel at misunderstanding problems and jumping to conclusions; how experience and expertise can create an illusion of understanding; the five pernicious pitfalls of problem solving, and a four-step method to defeat them; how and when to use hypothesis pyramids, issue trees, and design thinking to leave no stone unturned in solving a problem; why you should observe and engage with extreme users of existing solutions, instead of average users, to develop breakthrough ideas; how to present solutions—and convince decision-makers—in ways that won’t backfire.
