TYE Global Business Plan Competition

TiE is the world’s largest network of entrepreneurs. With over 12,000 members worldwide, TiE is the leading organization for all things entrepreneurship. TiE stands for ‘The Indus Entrepreneurs.’ It has been a strong belief of the TiE team that the organization offers a significant platform to bring together the entrepreneurs around the world for a shared purpose and vision. TiE is a global, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of Entrepreneurship. It is an open, inclusive, and transparent organization in its beliefs and actions.
TiE Youth Entrepreneurs (TYE) is a global program aimed at fostering our future generation of entrepreneurs. TYE teaches entrepreneurship to high school students and helping them discover the benefits and challenges of a life as an entrepreneur. During the program, the students form teams, go through classroom session modules, then write their own business plans. Teams compete at the chapter local finals first and each local winner goes on to the Global Competition to compete for $10,000. TYE has over 20 chapters throughout the TiE network participating each year.
This year, the Global Finals were held on June 23rd, 2017 in Irvine, California.

Chill Wipes are all-natural wipes that helps athletes and fans beat the heat at sports games. This team won first place overall and best elevator pitch.
Annie Barnicle – Founder and CEO of Tasteback
Tasteback is a website that filters through restaurants in your area based on your dietary restrictions. Basically it is like Yelp for food allergies and restrictions. The Tastback team won the award for best customer validation.
