Sherry Goldman – Founder of Goldman Communications Group, Inc., Award-winning Public Relations Strategist and Adjunct Professor

Advertising is what you say about yourself. Public relations, ideally, is someone else saying that about you. It’s leveraging their influence, their power and their reputation.

Sherry Goldman is the founder of Goldman Communications Group, Inc. Before creating her own company, she honed her skills working at several public relations agencies, including Ruder Finn Rowland Worldwide, as senior management. She gained further communications skills by working at Gralla Publications and WCBS-TV News, where she held editorial positions. The desire to bring affordable, senior expertise and big company vision to more businesses prompted the creation of Goldman Communications Group. Sherry won two Silver Anvil Awards from the Public Relations Society of America and two of the US Department of the Interior’s Take Pride in America Awards as a result of some of her communication outreach programs. She’s led consumer marketing programs for companies like Nabisco, STP, Prestone, and Hawaiian Punch. She’s served as strategic counsel and handled public and community relations programs for the Writers Guild of America, East; New York’s Municipal Credit Union; and Canon USA. Aside from her communications work, Sherry is proud to be an Adjunct Professor in public relations at LIU Post, a member of the Herbert School of Communication Dean’s Advisory Board at Hofstra University, and a member of the Public Relations Society of America. She is a judge for the industry’s Anvil and SABRE awards, and is a frequent speaker at PRSA’s International Conferences.
