David Burkus is a best-selling author, an award-winning podcaster, and management professor. In 2015, he was named one of the emerging thought leaders most likely to shape the future of business by Thinkers50, the world’s premier ranking of management thinkers. His latest book, “Under New Management,” reveals the counter intuitive leadership practices that actually enhance engagement and drive performance in companies. He is also the author of “The Myths of Creativity.” David is a regular contributor to Harvard Business Review and Forbes. His work has been featured in Fast Company, Inc., the Financial Times, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, and on CBS This Morning. Tom McLeod is Founder and CEO of Omni, the on-demand personal storage concierge based in San Francisco. With over 10 year’s experience growing innovative companies, he previously co-founded Pagelime, a SaaS CMS used by over 30,000 designers worldwide, and the mobile app lab Imaginary Feet, launching and marketing 15+ apps to over 10 million users. With a degree in audio engineering from American University, Tom’s first venture was the “successful-til-it-wasn’t” recording studio Heavy Syndication, which quickly transitioned to become a web design firm with the changing music industry. Having recorded over 500 songs, he still consults on the occasional music project. Tom’s social and philanthropic interests began early— his father ran a local non-profit and his mother taught in the public school system— he now sits on the board of Mama Hope, dedicated to building thriving communities in rural Africa and Central America; as well as the non-profit charity F*ck Cancer, advocating for early detection, prevention, and support for those affected by cancer.
