Alexandra Tirado graduated from Duke University and received her Master’s from Columbia University. Her area of expertise is in China’s economic development and she attained a professional fluency in Mandarin while studying at Peking University. Prior to founding Fortuna, Alexandra worked in operations and logistics management at McMaster-Carr Supply Company. As someone who deeply cares about the people of China, J.P. Morgan sponsored Alexandra to spend one year in Bazhong, Sichuan helping those who were greatly affected by the 2008 Sichuan earthquake. She has previously held positions at the US Embassy in the Dominican Republic, Christie’s Art Auction House in New York City, and also developed and completed projects in Uganda, Africa in conjunction with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Duke Engage program. Alexandra enjoys participating in unique volunteer opportunities and values her experience with Goldman Sach’s “Midnight Scavenger Hunt” to raise millions for charity. Alexandra focuses on global strategy and project development, while also managing projects and services for Fortuna’s domestic operations.
