Scott McGregor – Advisor, Co-founder, Consultant and Executive to Tech Start-ups
Scott McGregor has a passion for turning raw technologies into products and helping start-ups achieve success. He is an advisor and executive coach, using his experience as an executive and business co-founder. Scott is also the co-inventor of Web Conferencing for the Placeware Web Conferencing Center (AKA Microsoft Live Meeting). His experience in Silicon Valley helps his guide clients through their own technical leadership roles, and Scott shares his enthusiasm as a speaker on topics including innovation, start-ups, and product design. He is also the past President and Co-founder of the Silicon Valley chapter of the Association for Software Design.
Cassius Butts – SBA Southern Regional Administrator
Cassius Butts was appointed by President Barack Obama in 2011 to the post of SBA Regional Administrator. In this position he is responsible for the delivery of SBA programs in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. With his leadership skills he has been able to manage oversight of three record breaking years and help businesses in his region receive SBA-backed financing, in amounts close to $12 billion. Before this position, Cassius worked for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and has help leadership positions for Bank of America, Fleet Bank, and the City of Atlanta.
