Russell Schrader is an Executive Director of the NCSA, the nation’s leading nonprofit, public-private partnership promoting cybersecurity and privacy education and awareness. The NCSA works with a broad array of stakeholders in government, industry, and civil society. He is an industry leader well-known for expertise and experience in privacy & data protection, enterprise risk & compliance, and payments & consumer finance. He serves as general counsel and chief privacy officer for Commerce Signals Inc., a startup based in the Bay Area and Charlotte specializing in permission sharing of data in a privacy-centric environment. In addition, he is a former senior vice president and was the first chief privacy officer of Visa Inc. Mr. Schrader was responsible for privacy and data security policies and issues and was a principal legal liaison for financial institutions on regulatory issues.
