Howard L. Brown – Chairman at HiTouch Business Services  and Author of Yes is More

Loyalty is a two way street. If you expecting your people to be
loyal to you, you’ve got to be loyal to them.

Howard L. Brown is Chairman at HiTouch Business Services and is responsible for the overall direction and health of the company. With nearly four decades experience in the commercial office products industry, his background includes sales, distribution, financial, forecasting and planning, mergers and acquisitions and quality assurance. He purchased Summit Office Supply in 1972, a supply, print service and furniture business with annual sales of $300,000, which was purchased by Buhrmann-Tetterode (BT) in 1987. In 1998, Brown and investors purchased ten office product companies in one day, including Allied Office Products, bringing the combined total sales of the companies to approximately $110 million. By unifying these diverse businesses into a single enterprise, Mr. Brown pioneered the new standard of service for the industry. Intrigued with its $375 million run rate, Office Depot purchased Allied in May, 2006. His restricted covenant for the office product industry ended in May of 2010 and HiTouch Business Services Inc. became the parent company of Rentacrate and ShredX. His team successfully grew HiTouch as he had done with his previous companies, and in 2018, Brown again sold his company, this time to Staples. Mr. Brown’s first book, Yes Is More: Tangible and Timeless Ways to Differentiate Yourself from Your Competitors, is scheduled to be released on July 7th, 2020. The book shows how you can create unique added value for customers that will make your business stand out, and how you can give customers something special, regardless of what you are selling.
