According to the spring 2019 Bank of America Business Advantage Small Business Owner Report, a semi-annual study exploring the concerns, aspirations and perspectives of 1,000 small business owners (SBOs) across the country, U.S. entrepreneurs continue to project a strong business outlook this spring, despite a slight dip in economic confidence. Sharon Miller is the Head of Small Business at Bank of America. Her team is responsible for delivering business and personal financial solutions to the company’s three million small business owners and entrepreneurs. Sharon’s team of more than 2,500 associates delivers advice and guidance on cash management, business financing, home lending, investments, and retirement.

James C. Greenwood is President and CEO of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) in Washington, D.C. He represented Pennsylvania’s Eighth District in the U.S. House of Representatives from January 1993 through January 2005. A senior member of the Energy and Commerce Committee, he was widely viewed as a leader in healthcare and the environment.

Dr. Michael Ventrice, a Meteorological Scientist and Software Engineer at The Weather Company (TWC), discusses the specifics of this year’s hurricane forecast and how the storms might impact the U.S. He also details innovative and practical tips for individuals who may find themselves in the path of a storm. TWC and IBM are helping prepare businesses for pending storms and help them stay online in the aftermath of a storm. Daniel Krook is the Chief Technology Officer for Call for Code. Call for Code inspires technology developers to create sustainable software solutions to the world’s most pressing problems, including hurricanes. One of those technology solutions is called Project OWL, which keeps first responders and victims connected in a natural disaster. Project OWL was the winner the 2018 Call for Code.
