Cheryl Heller – President of the Measured Lab Chair and Author of The Intergalactic Design Guide: Harnessing the Creative Potential of Social Design

Cheryl Heller is the Founding Chair of the first Masters of Fine Arts program in Design for Social Innovation at School of Visual Arts and President of the design lab CommonWise. She was recently awarded a Rockefeller Bellagio Fellowship, and is a recipient of the prestigious AIGA Medal (American Institute of Graphic Arts) for her contribution to the field of design. Her clients have included Ford Motor Company, American Express, Pfizer, Mars Corporation, Discovery Networks International, Herman Miller, Gap, Bayer Corporation, Seventh Generation, L’Oreal, The World Wildlife Fund, Ford Foundation, and the Girl Scouts of America. Heller is the former Board Chair of PopTech, and a Senior Fellow at the Babson Social Innovation Lab. She created the Ideas that Matter program for Sappi in 1999, which has since given over $13 million to designers working for the public good.

Angela Ficken – Psychotherapist and Founder of ProgressWellness.com 

Angela Ficken is a psychotherapist in Boston, MA. She graduated with a B.A in psychology from Northeastern University and received her Masters in Social Work from Boston College. She began her career as a residence counselor at the OCD Institute at McLean hospital before attending graduate school. After receiving her MSW, she worked as a senior clinical social worker at McLean Hospital and was a primary therapist for college students at Harvard University before moving to her full-time private practice. She is certified in DBT and CBT and is trained in exposure and response prevention (ERP). Her primary interests are working with young adults who have OCD, eating disorders, and anxiety-related concerns.
