Ian Lamont is the creator of the Lean Media framework which helps creative people and production teams develop more relevant media. His new book, “Lean Media,” explores his passion to create innovative media that empowers people and improves their lives. His career has spanned more than 25 years across three continents. He worked in the British music industry and for a local TV network and newspaper in Taipei. Ian then built websites for Harvard University, developed online services for technology publisher IDG, and served as managing editor of The Industry Standard blog platform. Later, he founded a mobile software startup and i30 Media, which publishes “In 30 Minutes” guides. In recent years, Ian served as a business consultant to high-tech biotech companies and firms developing Internet-based services and mobile apps. She is a television personality, car columnist and author of The Garage Girl’s Guide To Everything You Need To Know About Your Car. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she is the daughter of race car driver Jerry Hansen, who is a 27-time Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) national racing champion. Courtney literally grew up on a racetrack, as her family owned Brainerd International Raceway in Minnesota.
