Dr. Archelle Georgiou is a nationally recognized physician and consumer advocate. As former Chief Medical Officer of UnitedHealthcare, she changed the company’s policies and eliminated the bureaucratic hassles that managed care companies impose on patients and physicians. She uses the media as a vehicle to educate consumers about their health and has a regular health news segment on KSTP-TV in Minneapolis. Archelle is an Executive in Residence at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. After spending thirteen years at UnitedHealth Group, she founded Georgiou Consulting in 2008 and uses her wide range of career experiences to help companies with innovative, effective healthcare solutions ignite change and drive growth. In February 2017, she’ll release her first book,“Health Care Choices: 5 Steps to Getting the Medical Care You Want and Need.”

Mike MacCombie started Evertrue Ventures as the Brown University alumni investment group. They look to invest in Seed to Series A companies led by or significantly connected to the Brown alumni community. There is something special about Brown University alumni and their alumni community possesses a wealth of experience and resources that can help as insightful investors, successful entrepreneurs, and passionate supporters. Evertrue Ventures launched in 2016 as the formal channel for them to connect — to bring together Brown University alumni who will invest in, advise, and support alumni-led startups.  They have built partnerships with other alumni-based angel groups, accelerators, and venture capital firms, to build an extended pipeline of support for the Brown alumni entrepreneur community.
