Cynthia is CEO & Founder of Pivot Global Partners, a global professional services firm that guides clients through people and process driven pivots – innovation pivots, leadership pivots, and equity, inclusion, and diversity pivots. Pivot Global’s approach draws upon Design Thinking and Agile concepts, putting customer needs first and sharpening solutions through rounds of experiments. An advisor to numerous technology startups across industries, including financial services, insurance, health care, entertainment, and marketing, Cynthia provides guidance related to product viability, market positioning, and operational maturity. Cynthia previously was Global Head of Agency for AIG, President of Encompass Insurance, and President of Hanover Insurance’s Personal Lines Division. She held P&L roles at The Hartford and P&L and claims roles at Progressive Insurance. She also was a litigation associate at Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue. A frequent speaker, Cynthia is a thought leader and is often quoted in the media. Her straight talk and unique brand of inspirational leadership set her apart. In her leadership enrichment book, Crossing Meridians: Engineering Disruption to Become a More Effective Leader, Cynthia shares her tested approach to leader development. In the community, Cynthia is a member of the Founders Board of the National Women’s History Museum in Washington, D.C. where she was chair of the Governance Committee. She is a member of the Board of Directors of World Trade Center Atlanta and the Board of Councilors of The Carter Center. Cynthia also is a former board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Harlem, Communities in School of Chicago, and the Institute for Student Achievement of New York.
