Tommy Spaulding is President of the Spaulding Companies, a national leadership development, consulting, coaching, and speaking organization. Tommy rose to become the youngest President and CEO of the world-renowned leadership organization, Up with People. In 2000, Tommy founded Leader’s Challenge, which grew to become the largest high school civic and leadership program in the state of Colorado. He is also the founder & President of the Spaulding Leadership Institute, a non-profit leadership development organization which runs the Center for Third Sector Excellence. Previously, he was the Business Partner Sales Manager at IBM/Lotus Development and a member of the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) program. Tommy has received an Honorary PhD in Humanities from the Art Institute of Colorado and he received the Denver Business Journal’s “Forty under 40 Award.” In 2006, he was awarded East Carolina University’s “Outstanding Alumni Award,” the highest distinction awarded to an alumnus of the university. A world-renowned speaker on leadership, Tommy has spoken to hundreds of organizations, schools, and corporations around the globe. Adam von Gootkin failed out of college after one semester, so he chose to embark on an entrepreneurial adventure that has traversed e-commerce, muscle cars and the music industry. Now, at 32 years young, he and his business partner have resurrected his family moonshine legacy 78 years after it’s inception, successfully introducing the world to the first ultra premium American moonshine. Adam’s ancestors were arrested in 1864 for tax evasion on a shipment of moonshine bound for Canada, resulting of the collapse of Chafee & Co Distilling. Undaunted by their demise, the family opened the grand Chafee’s Hotel in Middletown, Connecticut at the dawn of the Roaring 20’s, hosting an opulent and infamous speakeasy. He is a passionate moonshine and whiskey loving entrepreneur who is dedicated to helping other entrepreneurs reach their dreams and boldly take part in changing the world for the better.
