Grace Fricks – Founder of Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs – Highlight Here

Grace Fricks has been on the show before and is the founder of a not-for-profit lending organization Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs. ACE does micro credit and small business loans in Atlanta and rural North Georgia. Recently, they expanded into loans up to $250,000. Grace gets loans and loves to help women, people of color and others who want to grow their small businesses. ACE is certified by the US Treasury Department as a Community Development Financial Institution. They also created Georgia Green Loans for green business practices, services and products. She started the Women Investing in Successful Entrepreneurs (WISE) program to tailor financial services to women business owners. Grace recently won the Georgia Trend 2014 “100 Most Influential Georgians” recognition and the SBA Financial Services Champion of the Year Award.

Connie Edwards – Business Consultant at The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center (SBDC) – Highlight Here

Connie Edwards has worked for nearly 18 years as a Business Consultant with the Georgia SBDC Network. She has specialized experience developing loan proposals and assisting with acquisition of capital for Georgia businesses. She worked at the Auburn University SBDC and taught at Auburn University. Connie then worked as an engineer with the Monsanto Company. The Small Business Chamber of Savannah honored her with the Small Business Champion of the Year award and she won the 2011 Flewellen Award for Consulting Excellence. She is with us today to tell about all the SBDC programs that can help you!

They have won tons of other awards and are evidence of how useful a Small Business Administration friendship can be.
