Peter Boni formed Kedgeway Inc. as a platform to write, consult, speak, teach, invest, and direct his philanthropy. During his career, he added nearly $5 billion of value as a science and technology CEO, consultant, director, and private equity/venture capital investor. Over a decade apart, in different regions and in separate categories, he was twice cited in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year competition, most recently in 2011 as Master Entrepreneur in Philadelphia. He has occasionally commentated for varying programs featured on CNBC, Fox Business, and The Street.com. Over a 22-year period as CEO of several technology companies (public, private, IPO), his firms were listed among the Inc. 500 five times, the Software 100 three times, and the Fast 50 and the Fortune 1000 twice. Earlier, he held Fortune 500 executive assignments in sales, marketing, and general management. Peter has experienced dozens of mergers and acquisitions as both a buyer and a seller. He has presided over $1B of IPO, secondary or private financing; he has served on the boards of directors of two dozen public and private financial, healthcare and technology firms (ranging from $10 million to $1 billion) as chairman, independent director, committee head and/or CEO coach. A decorated military veteran, Peter spent 15 months in combat as a special operations infantry officer. Today, he is Vice Chairman and on the national board of The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), which has brought entrepreneurship training to over 500,000 poor, inner city youth in 21 U.S. states and nine countries. He is founding co-chairman of its Philadelphia branch.
