Christopher Gray – Co Founder at Scholly, Winner of $1.3 MILLION in College Scholarships
This may be my favorite interview ever. It is so inspiring! Christopher Gray won $1.3 million in college scholarships including the Coca Cola National Scholarship, Gates Millennium National Scholarship, 2010 Alabama Young Hero of the Year Award, Horatio Alger National Scholarship, Walmart Scholarship, Lowes Scholarship, and National Business Honor Society Scholarship. Now, he built an app to help others do the same. Scholly is a mobile app that gives students a fast and simple way to find scholarships for college. He also started The Dorm Room Fund, one of the first venture capital funds run by students, for students. With $500,000 from First Round Capital, the student run team makes $10,000 – $20,000 investments in student run start-ups. It was launched in Philadelphia but has since grown to New York and San Francisco. Coolest story ever! AND, today is his birthday. Happy birthday Christopher!
Carrie Chitsey – CEO of BLK24 and Founder of 3Seventy
Carrie Chitsey is a mobile entrepreneur from Texas. She started BLK24, a consulting and advisory company for brands and entrepreneurs. They provide consulting in mobile, digital marketing and communications, partner sales channel strategy, and integrating the multi-channel customer experience. Carrie loves clean up jobs that fix technology, making it better. (Gee, maybe she should go to Washington?) Carrie says, “A mobile application in the Apple store doesn’t make it a good application, your brand is on the line!” She also runs 3Seventy, a leading provider of mobile customer relationship management solutions. This award-winning solutions allows her clients to interact with their consumers by mobile channel of choice, with one easy-to-use platform. And she likes Vegas, as do we!!
