While pursuing postgraduate work in screenwriting at UCLA, the founder of a fast-growing healthcare company requested Dom’s creativity to help tell a better sales story. Dr. Monica Wood – Founder of ‘SectAway
Dr. Monica Wood has a degree in Biochemistry/Cell Biology from UCSD and has worked in medical research, including drug development. She went to medical school and graduated Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her Orthopaedic training at the University of Colorado followed by a Hand Surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. After only 6 1/2 years of practice, she was forced to quit due to multiple sclerosis. Redefining herself has taken some effort. One of her projects is an insect repellent called ‘SectAway. Its a bracelet that repels bugs. The ‘SectAway project combines her background in science and medicine with aesthetics and creativity.
