Christian Birk is an European entrepreneur and founder of Endomondo, one the world’s largest online social sports and fitness communities. He served as CEO and raised $7 million from private and venture capital investors and was able to sell the business to Under Armour. He was responsible for executing and managing strategic alliances with globally their elite corporate partners. Endomondo was voted the “Best Sports, Leisure or Health Start-Up” by TechCrunch Europe in 2011 and was one of the “Editors Choice” on Google Play. It won the Microsoft Health Users Group Innovation Award in 2012. Christian won the Ernst & Young Start-Up Entrepreneur of 2011 and the Europas 2011 Award for “Best Sport, Leisure or Health Startup.”
Eric Greithens – Founder of Mission Continues, Navy Seal and Author of Resilience: Hard-Won Wisdom for Living a Better Life
Eric Greithens is a Rhodes and a Truman Scholar, and earned a Ph.D. from University of Oxford. His doctoral thesis investigated how international humanitarian groups can best serve war-affected children. Eric was a United States Navy Seal officer and deployed to Afghanistan, Southeast Asia, the Horn of Africa, and Iraq. Eric was appointed by President Bush to serve as a White House Fellow, and the Association of the United States Navy named him the Navy Reserve Junior Line Officer of the Year. He was awarded the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Purple Heart, and the Bronze Star. He donated his combat pay to found The Mission Continues, a national nonprofit organization that challenges veterans to serve in communities across America. People Magazine named Eric an “All-Star Among Us,” and the National Conference on Citizenship named him its “Citizen Soldier of the Year.” In 2014, Fortune magazine recognized him as one of 50 greatest leaders in the world.
