Investor / Media Training

Investor & Media Training

For founders raising money and experts giving interviews.

I’ve been interviewed about 300 times and have interviewed over 4,500 people. The guests with training stand out. So do the founders in the room with investors.

“Every guest needs media training!”

Great communicators aren’t born. They’re trained.

In media interviews and investor meetings, your ability to communicate determines your success. If you’re raising money, pitching investors, selling a book, or preparing for podcast and radio appearances, you can’t afford to “wing it.” My Investor & Media Training helps founders, authors, executives, and experts present themselves with clarity, confidence, and structure, no matter who they are talking to.
  • ❌ Messy message that no one remembers
  • ❌ Long, unclear answers that lose the room
  • ❌ No stories to prove your point
  • ❌ No clear ask or call to action
  • ❌ Nerves, rambling, and filler words

My training fixes all of this.

Do You Need Training? Here’s the test. Say “yes” to all five:

  • One clear thesis sentence your audience or investors should remember
  • A 20-second plain-English explanation of what you do
  • Three short, memorable stories that build trust and prove your thesis
  • Six structured minutes you can deliver with no help from a host or investor
  • A clear call to action: investor ask or media-friendly next step

If you hesitated or said “no” to anything, you need training.

With me.

What We Work On: Training covers both media interviews and investor presentations.

Voice Skills – Speed, tone, emphasis, pacing, and volume so you sound confident and calm under pressure.
The Face – Yes, people can hear your face. We make sure your expression matches your message.
Body – Your posture and body energy show up in your voice and on video they matter even more.
Content System – Your thesis, outline, assumed questions, planned answers, 3–5 stories, and a strong call to action.
Investor Messaging – The “2 sentence” explanation investors love, traction story, tough questions, clarity without hype, and a confident ask.
Confidence – You’ll know exactly what to say, how to say it, and how to stay in control in any interview or pitch.

Free Tip

One of my favorite lines for any interview is this:

“Let me tell you a story from my book.”

This simple sentence does three powerful things at once:
  • It sells your book without sounding salesy.
  • It gives the host exactly what they want—stories.
  • It creates the most memorable moments in any interview or podcast.
Stories build connection. Stories build trust. Stories make you unforgettable.

And What Not to Say

The worst line a guest can say on air:

       “As I said earlier…”

That sentence instantly tells the host:

  • You weren’t listening,
  • You didn’t like their question, and
  • You’re a difficult guest.
It kills the energy and shuts down rapport. Never use it.
