Kamran Elahian started his career at Hewlett-Packard, and even though he was taking classes at Stanford University in circuit design, Hewlett-Packard told him that he was a lousy engineer. Unfazed, he created a process to automate chip design software which led to his first company CAE Systems, eventually sold for $75 million. After that, Kamran proceeded to start a series of companies that IPOed in the hundreds of millions and eventually were worth billions. He has also been a movie producer, pursuing his dedication to world peace, and his philanthropic efforts have been noted worldwide. He won the very prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and today runs a venture firm. We are incredibly honored to have him as our guest.
